The Tron (TRX) community was beside itself on Wednesday, Feb. 19 after founder Justin Sun’s address was shown to have voted in two Tron Foundation apps as a Super Representative (SR). Both Tron-Ace and Tron-Bet were voted in as Super Representatives by the Zion address, the same account which received 99 billion TRX from the coin’s genesis block.
Super Representatives are responsible for overseeing block production on Tron’s blockchain. As such, they receive a sizable portion of the coin rewards from each block. In plain terms, this means that Tron’s community rules were bypassed, arguably to further enrich its own foundation.
That’s despite Tron CEO Justin Sun’s insistence that he and his foundation have nothing to do with community voting.
TronWallet has implemented a new tool for exchanging tokens, called Swap. From now on, TronWallet users can easily change their Bitcoin, TRX and TRX-backed coins.
They do not have to rush to crypto exchanges to do that from now on – the new Swap tool will help them perform any token exchange.
In January this year, users became paying more attention to this new tool and its usage for exchanging coins spiked, since the new feature saves time. Swap volumes on TronWallet have grown tremendously over last month.
TRON community has raised enquiry on the possible perception of the Chinese government over the privacy protocol TRON blockchain is developing on its network.
The question was directed to the Founder of TRON blockchain project Justin Sun. The CCO of Beatzcoin and the advisor of Dapp Evolution, Misha Lederman, raised the query after Justin shared the list of 20 contestants of the MPC Torch Porject, a project launched by TRONZ team to enhance TRON privacy by utilizing zk-SNARKs-based technology.
... TRON’s network is not governed by me or TRON Foundation. TRON Foundation has not participated in any vote and has not received any rewards. It is governed by all TRX holders and the community. TRX holders selected the TRON committee and the TRON committee made all the decisions.
Be sure to stay aware of updates, proposals, etc. and participate in the voting and staking mechanisms. Vote for your Super Representative, and create the TRON network you want!
